The national DBSA organization is seeking caregivers for people with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia to participate in a 60-minute phone interview for a study on the role that caregivers play in the life of the person with bipolar or schizophrenia and how they influence treatment choices and, additionally, to assess the appeal and value that potential educational materials may have for caregivers. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH?

The main objective of this research is to understand the role that caregivers play in the life of the person with bipolar or schizophrenia and how they influence treatment choices and, additionally, to assess the appeal and value that potential educational materials may have for caregivers.

The information collected from the caregivers will be treated confidentially and the responses that the caregivers share will not be tied to them in any way. Reports will be aggregated, combining the answers of all participants.

WHAT WILL I BE ASKED TO DO?

Your participation involves one 60-minute phone interview. The phone call will be audio-recorded, but all information you share will be kept confidential and only shared in aggregate. All caregivers who participate in a phone interview will have to be in front of their own personal computer (NOT a mobile device) during the interview. At the end of the interview, you will receive a $100 gift card as thanks for your participation.
