Pandemic Ponderings is a brief overview, in “zine” format, of some of the cognitive distortions that can take hold of a person in times of stress and make it difficult to maintain one’s emotional equilibrium, especially in times of external stressors such as the 2020 pandemic. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can help one learn how to quiet these harmful thought processes.
The artist, Marilyn Mitchell, has worked in many media, including oil paint, watercolor, sculpture, and pen-and-ink drawings. This is her first excursion into the “zine” format. This work is published with permission of the artist.
